While blogging is a platform for sharing ideas, photographs, picture and opinions online, many people also use blogging to make money. Many people are known to earn their living by being based solely on their blogs. Listed below are a few blogging tips that would help you generate a substantial monthly online income.
Tip#1: Leverage On Affiliate Programs
If you want to monetize your blogs, you need to become an affiliate marketer. When you become an affiliate, you would be given a unique affiliate link. You simply place this link within your blog and generate an income on each sale. Affiliate marketing is a reasonable option to generate a steady flow of income through your blogs. Over here, you earn a commission on each sale.
Tip#2: Pay Per Click Campaigns
Blogging experts suggest that you make use of pay per click advertising campaigns and make substantial money through your blogs. You simply need to seek help from Yahoo or Google and then add a small code to the blog's template. You have the ability to make a few cents to a few dollars per click. Hence, I recommend that you need to take this option very seriously.
Tip#3: Write Product Reviews
A blogger can make substantial income by just writing a product review on a regular basis. Search for merchants who are on the lookout for bloggers to write a review of their products. Likewise, you can also connect to a portal which links both the bloggers as well as the merchants. A review page on a high traffic generating bog can cost a few thousand dollars.

How To Use A Corporate Blog To Grow Your Business By Dana Prince
Do you need a blog for your business? Can the blogosphere really do all that much for you?
Many corporate websites for companies large and small today have a blog attached to their website. A blog is a fantastic tool for doing multiple things. It can drive traffic, get you more customers, increase customer satisfaction and improve your SEO rankings.
First, it helps you communicate with your customer. If you have a voice, you don't appear to be a nameless and faceless corporate entity. Customers like dealing with people and a blog helps your customer feel like they are buying from a real person. It gives you a chance to share information and news with your customers. It's a great vehicle to drive information to your client base without pushing information at them too aggressively. They choose to read your blog and choose to find out about your company. They can also choose to comment and they can help spread the word. Blogs get syndicated and people do social bookmarking with them as well. Your blog is ideal for viral marketing!
SEO and the Corporate Blog
A blog does great things for your SEO (search engine optimization). Search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Altavista love blogs and will often index them faster than websites. Linking a blog to your website can increase the number of links out there and increase your website relevancy in your niche which can doubly impact your PR. How? It can impact your public relations and your page rank!
Your blog should be optimized for your keywords just as much as your website is in order to attract the right audience. Blog posts should give value to readers and encourage participation. You can also use your corporate blog to announce contests, special discounts and to get feedback from your customer base.
How do you manage your business blog the right way?
If you don't know that you can keep the content fresh and write it in a way that will bring you the right traffic and get you the right SEO value, hire a professional blogger. A professional blogger can work closely with you to ensure that your blog provides maximum benefits to your business.

The Right Blog Software Can Make A Blog Stand Out From The Crowd By Paul Flyer
Blogs are an easy way to get your voice out onto the Net. For the Web-It-Yourselfer, custom blogs are a great way to learn about web technologies and create something from the ground up.
With a little bit of tech savvy anyone can create their own custom blog. When choosing blog software or a blog service consider the following:
Support -
Implementing new software will create a lot of questions. Does the software have a support site/forum? How large is the user community? Is the user community helpful?
Is it Free? -
There really is no need to pay a lot of money for either the software or a service. Free doesn't mean cheap. There is quality, free software available.
Easy Customization -
Is the software flexible enough to allow for customization? Can the colors be changed? Can style sheets be used? Are there custom plugins available that are developed by the user community? Is there a robust set of functions that can be employed to accomplish simple tasks? For example, some software offers one simple function that will produce a long list of links. This saves on the need for a lot of coding.
PHP based -
Don't worry, it is not that scary. The combination of HTML and PHP can create a highly customized blog. Especially for those who like to dig around in the code, PHP driven software can provide a valuable learning experience.
Links -
Is the software able to manage links? Maintaining links manually in HTML is a tedious task. Any software that makes this easier is at a definite advantage.
Posts and Pages -
If you are familiar with blogs, you know that an entry in a blog is commonly known as a post. Can regular pages be created from the software as well? This allows for ultimate flexibility.
Content Management -
Can the software control elements for most or all of the website? Now, most blog software is not meant to accomplish this task. Search around and see if the blog software can be used to be a basic content management system. Some software is incredibly flexible and can accomplish this task.
It is said that a new blog is being created every second. Why not take the time to investigate blog software that will enable a blog to stand out from the crowd?

Copywriting Services and Business Blog Writing By Steve Lazuka
Businesses use copywriting services for a host of different applications. Whether they write ebooks, sales letters, product pages or articles, professional writers can improve the quality and visibility of your site through the use of well-written SEO content. Another way that copywriters can help you market your business is with business blogging services. Business blogs that are optimized and well maintained can be powerful marketing tools.
Copywriting Services Enhance your Online Presence
Blogs have become a way to communicate for both personal and professional purposes. A business blog is an excellent way to provide your current and potential customers with useful information. Just like articles, ebooks and white papers, a blog is a vehicle for your content. It is usually less formal, but still, its primary goal is to share what you know with interested parties, and to draw them to your site.
For those who love to write and have the time, doing the work is not a problem. But, for so many busy business owners, a blog can be a hassle. Coming up with new topics every day or week is not always easy. For those who want to spend their time on other things, hiring copywriting services to both write and maintain their blogs is a good option. A professional SEO copywriting company will be familiar with how to optimize your blog for the best search engine visibility.
Of course, people, not search engines, are reading your blogs, so you need to make sure that your writers are conveying your message in a way that appeals to humans. A good SEO service will know how to do this. Another point to keep in mind is that, when you hire a copywriting service, you should convey to the writers what style and voice you want them to use. Your business blog is, after all, a reflection of you and your company
Copywriting Services- Make the Most of your Business Blog
Your target market is looking for answers to their questions and solutions to their problems. Your blog is one handy way to help them find the information they need. Make the most of your business blog with the help of professionals. Their expertise can give you the edge by enhancing your image as well as your search engine rankings.
Don't forget that blogs offer several benefits: they invite feedback, link people to your site and make you more visible to potential customers. They also allow you to share valuable information that will boost your credibility. Copywriting services take the work out of establishing and maintaining an effective blog, freeing you up to run your business.

Earn Money Online Blogging - How to Choose the Right Blogging Platform By Rico Kidd
When you're a beginning blogger, you might be confused about which blogging platform to use. This article will describe the two most popular blogging platforms and the benefits of each. The two most used blogging platforms are WordPress and Blogger.
Blogger is a free blogging platform from Google that is beginner friendly and easy to use. Here are some benefits of using Blogger:
1. It's free.
2. Easy to use.
3. Dummy proof (almost).
4. Easy to get the domain name you want (but you will have .blogspot following your domain name).
5. Easy to post entries.
Some of the negative aspects of Blogger are:
1. You will never "own" the blog.
2. Limited amount of functions.
3. Your domain will forever have .blogspot its name.
4. Limited amount of templates.
5. Customizing options are limited.
As you can see there are many benefits to this blog platform. Basically, Blogger is used for beginners and its good for getting your feet wet before diving into a paid platform.
WordPress (WP) is another popular platform and is directed towards more advanced users. WordPress is also free, however, the majority of people who use this platform buy hosting and and a domain name. Here are the benefits of using WP.
1. There are a ton of plugins (some are good, some are really bad).
2. You will own the site (if you buy the domain name).
3. There are many more theme options.
4. It's easy to customize the appearance of each blog (Some .css knowledge might be required).
5. Looks more professional - almost like a real website.
Some negative aspects of WP are:
1. Most people who use WP pay for domain names and hosting.
2. Might be too advanced for beginners.
3. You need to know a little .html and .css if you want to customize templates.
4. The widget options might be too overwhelming for beginners.
5. Not as user friendly.
As you can see, WordPress is targeted towards more advance users. My recommendations are for beginners to try out Blogger and once they get an understanding of how to blog, then switch over to WordPress. This way you can obtain a free domain name, practice on the free blog and then when you're ready, switch over to the more advanced WP platform.

How to Blog For Money - The Difference Between Hobby Bloggers & Making an Explosive Income Now By I. R. Hollander
Who else wants to learn how to blog for money? If you are anything like most of our readers, the simple truth is that you've had your fill or blogging for fun, and are really ready to start turning your prose....into profit, right? It's actually super simple to make money with a blog if you know what you're doing, and if you are a decent writer, there are really only subtle, but significant differences between doing it for fun and free, versus making a full time living from the power of your words.
So what is the BIG difference between blogs that earn no cash...and those that make big piles of it every month?
Easy! Very simply, it's a function of focus. Are you focused on what YOU want to say, or write about.....or are you focused on what you're readers want to read about? These are often very different things, and the only way you'll ever really discover which side of the street you fall on is the amount of research you do into the needs, wants and eye opening interests that you're readers really have.
For example, keyword research that you incorporate into blog post titles and categories, can often be the difference between a few hundred visitors a month...and a few thousand visitors a day! And ironically, the quality of the writing you are putting out can be exactly the same, while getting disproportionately different results. Doing the proper keyword research, knowing what phrases are most apt to give you traffic, AND, equally as importantly, are most likely to optimize the ads you're serving up on your site (especially if you are running contextual advertising like Google AdSense or Yahoo Publisher) can result in DRAMATICALLY different payouts on the content on your pages.
Work Harder But Not Smarter
I know passionate bloggers who work 4 or 5 hours a day and make no money...and pragmatic bloggers who work 4 or 5 hours a week and are making 4 and 5 figures a month. (and often much more..:-) The biggest difference is focus - and if you adopt a smart one, blogging is one of the most fulfilling, easiest and most rewarding ways to make an income that I know of...and if you get started, I think you'll agree!

Earn Money With a Blog By Kris Beus
Blogging in the past five years has become a driving force behind not only website marketing, but stand alone revenue generators. The most important aspect that you must understand before beginning a blog especially if you are creating the blog as a supplemental income is there will be competition. So as you create your blog be sure that it will be something you will post on when you are sick and tired of blogging. Personally the one aspect in my life that I am able to write about whether I am tired, burned out, or I would just rather be doing something else is making money which has given me the ability to get not only my blog, but also a static website to the top of Google SERPs (search engine ranking pages) for some very competitive keywords. Personally I believe if someone loves their web space no matter what it is about they will be able to make money off it.
Before you begin blogging you must decide if you really want to make money online. Remember there is over a trillion unique URL's by Google's calculation so no matter which niche (category of website) you select be prepared to work hard for the top spot in Google. After you choose your niche it will be important to research your competitors so you will have an understanding of how much promotion it will take to reach the top of Google. It is good to search google and find a keyword density checker and run it on your competitor's site then attempt to match or increase the density of keyword or phrase you would like to be on top with. The second important part of researching your niche competitors is to find out how much and who is linking back to them. If you would like to find out how many and which websites are linking to any given site go to yahoo's site explorer and type in their URL. Once you see how many links a competitor has it will be much easier to gauge the work necessary to overtake them within the SERPs.
Once you have the position within the SERPs and you begin receiving a reasonable amount of traffic there are some different ways you can choose to make money. The biggest tip I can give any blogger recently gaining prestige within the blogosphere is do not begin a spam campaign. Now this will be hard to do because it will consist of turning down offers of people wanting you to post about their website or product. If you decide to become a complete sale out more than likely all of the one way links that people give you because you run an excellent blog will be taken away meaning you will drop in SERPs losing everything your worked for. Now it is ok to occasionally post about someone else's product or service just be sure to first get a free version for yourself and test it then write a realistic review about whatever the product or service is. Now perhaps you would rather just place ads on your site if this is the case then the easiest route would be Google AdSense either way once you get the traffic monetization should not be difficult.

Is It Worth Getting An Affordable Blog Hosting? By: Hyun Kim
Most bloggers start writing content for personal reasons and use a blog to write online journals. However, when blogging evolved and merged into the business field, many bloggers switched to paid blog hosting to maximize their site’s potential.
When bloggers upgrade their free blog hosting, they usually choose affordable blog hosting packages to make their blogs professional looking or add extra services. Since most free hosting providers offer limited features, switching to an affordable blog hosting service is the next great deal.
However, you have to consider several factors when choosing an affordable blog hosting because your income or success as a blogger will rely on your hosting provider. While affordable blog hosting packages can be a good way to save money, it can also hold major drawbacks, especially when you wish to make a living out of your blog.
Pros and Cons of an Affordable Blog Hosting
The greatest advantage of affordable blog hosting packages is that they offer you with money-saving ways of bringing your content online. However, since you pay a small fee for these services, expect a limited features and unavailability to configure the site the way you prefer. If you have been blogging for years, choosing an affordable blog hosting can be frustrating because of limited options for blog customization.
Compared to exclusive blog hosting or stand along hosting providers, an affordable blog hosting is very user-friendly in terms of setting up or managing accounts. However, the drawback of these kinds of hosting providers is that because of limited template options, your blog could end up looking very similar to another blog.
The good thing about affordable blog hosting services is that they design blog platforms to update automatically, making it easier for you to keep your content updated all the time. However, having a low-cost blog hosting can be frustrating because you share a web server with hundreds of other bloggers. Because of this, you may experience plenty of downtimes, which could make an updated blog useless due to lack of online visibility.
One of the most rewarding benefits of affordable blog hosting providers is that major search engines can easily index your blog. This is possible because the hosting provider have great page ranks even before you register with them, allowing your site to get ranked very quickly.
When you wish to upgrade your blog hosting with a paid hosting service, you should weigh the pros and cons of an affordable blog hosting to prepare you on what to expect with these kinds of hosting providers.

Aiming to Be a Successful Blogger - A Reality Check By Andy Walpole
Let us use a typical real life example as an analogy for creating a successful blog.
You move into a new flat in a different city. You spend a great deal of time picking the right flat to move into. After all, you don't want to move into a bad neighbourhood. The outside of the flat is pretty and attractive, while you spend a great deal of time both finding and arranging the furniture to your taste.
So the big day comes and your new flat is ready. You sit back and admire your new home. Then you realise that as you've moved to a new city you haven't got any friends nearby. So you sit in and wait for new friends to knock on the door. Nobody comes. You sit in night after night waiting for new friends to come and knock on the door. But nobody comes.
Starting a blog is like this. No matter how long you take on picking the right niche, working on the design and writing the articles, just launching it and expecting web users to come won't work. Even established and internationally known digital companies such as Google and Facebook can't just launch a product or service and expect an audience to find it, keep coming back and refer it to their friends.
But yet, this "build it and they will come" attitude is prevalent and is often the downfall of many new bloggers, applications and campaign microsites. There's much work involved in promoting a blog or other type of website in finding the right target audience, making sure it meets their needs and having them return.
It me be the case that you are already a celebrity in your own right and so your name is already a brand, but unfortunately for the rest of us there are no shortcuts and the work takes countless hours of often repetitious, dull tasks.
Going back to the analogy of moving into a new flat in a new city, I would say that it takes a good three years to build up a new network of friends. The same too with building a blog as it takes a good three years to go from nowhere to creating a wide ranging network of visitors and fellow bloggers.
And as for making money, forget it. You may end up being one of the 0.001% of bloggers who can actually earn a living out of their writing, but otherwise don't expect an equal return for all the hours that you are going to put into making it a success.
Unfortunately, there seems to be prevailing attitude amongst many new bloggers that in this "gold rush" all it takes is to pick up the gold nuggets that are scattered around. Most of these bloggers with this attitude give up disillusioned. Blog for fun first, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't go about your business with determination and a sense of purpose.
The most vital part of aiming to be a successful blogger is reading others experience, and not just before you start but continuously throughout your blogging time. Make sure you find other blogs, forums and social networking sites and subscribe to their RSS feed.
Learn from those that are already successful at it.

Blog Tips - How to Blog For Money By Charles Boustany
Blog Tips - How to Blog For Money By Charles Boustany
So many blog tips you see today pertain to the mechanics of blogging. I thought in this article we would get down to the basics and talk about how to blog for money.
There are basically two ways you can make money blogging.
1. You can create your own blogs and monetize them in various ways.
2. You can write blog articles for other blog owners and get paid for the writing you do.
So which is the best way to make money blogging?
If you are brand new starting out you may want to consider starting a blog of your own and practicing on yourself first. One benefit to this is you can develop your own style of writing.
You can also use your blog for sample articles that you can refer potential customers to. Assuming that you become a quality writer this should be helpful in attracting new customers.
Another benefit to starting your own blog and monetizing it is you can develop an ongoing income through repeat traffic. People that come to your blog will want to bookmark it and come back to see what you are up to.
Monetizing a blog is easy to do thanks to affiliate programs such as Google AdSense, Commission Junction, and ClickBank. These are three good sources for products to promote on your blog.
The Google AdSense program is a pay per click program which pays you when people click on ads. Commission Junction is one of the largest cost per action affiliate networks and is a good source for pay per lead programs. Click Bank is the largest digital information affiliate network in the world and a great source for information products.
The other way we mentioned is to write blog articles for other blog owners. The sky is the limit when creating income this way. There are millions of blogs sitting dormant right now because the owners can't keep up with them.
Believe it or not finding quality blog writers is not easy to do. This gives you an opportunity to develop a handful of consistent customers who want to hang on to you if you do a good job for them.
You literally can make a full time income writing blog articles and the work is never boring.
In summary when we look at how to blog for money, whether you choose to do it for yourself, or write for other people becomes a personal choice. Many bloggers ultimately decide to do both and earn an outstanding income doing it.

Increase Blog Traffic - How Social Marketing Can Drive More Traffic to Your Blog By Keith Goodrum

When it comes to getting traffic to your blog, there are many tactics and methods that can help you get the job done, but knowing which ones that work is the difficult part. In the past, all you needed to do was put up a blog, add keywords to your meta tags, and you'd have no problem getting readership to your website. Unfortunately, those days are long gone.
As the Internet evolves, the need to keep up with current ways to attract visitors becomes increasingly important. The past few years we've seen a major shift in blog traffic techniques. Social media is playing a major role in attracting more visitors to your website. Thus the importance for knowing how social marketing can benefit your blog.
First, what is social marketing?
Before the benefits can be addressed, you need to understand exactly what social marketing is. This is a method which takes advantage of and taps into the enormous amount of visitors these various social sites generate. Examples of these sites include: video sites (such as YouTube), bookmarking sites (such as Digg), networking sites (such as Facebook), and others (such as Twitter).
How Social Media Can Increase Blog Traffic
1. Direct Traffic - Is any visitor arriving to your site directly from any of your efforts. This would be any content you add, interaction you have with other members and the voting or book marking you do while using these sites.
2. Indirect Traffic - Is any visitor to your site without your direct efforts. This would be people who visit your blog from places like your profile, or a place like the featured section of the various social sites.
3. Referred Traffic - Anyone who arrives to your website by being referred from another place. Examples would be from the search engines, or the search function of the different sites; and could also include any time another member of the Social Media site votes or recommends your content.
